About Us

The Lighthouse Inn is first recorded in the 1851 Census, and has been serving local residents and visitors to the area ever since – almost 170 years!

Walcott, which was originally part of the village of Has Bro (which was largely lost to the sea in the late 19thCentury) has become an independent village from the newly-named Happisburgh, which is home to one of the most famous lighthouses on the UK coastline.

Our pub, and next-door campsite, is just a ten-minute walk from the beach and clifftop path, offering a friendly, relaxed place to sit and chat, eat fresh locally-produced food cooked on the premises, and be refreshed by our great range of beers, wines and soft drinks.

With our recently-completed 7-mile Sandscaping Project, we now boast one of the best beaches on the Norfolk Coast, for relaxing, walking, swimming or fossil-hunting on the Deep History Coast, one of the richest areas in the world for discovering pre-historic fossils.

Come and discover the treasures of the North East Norfolk coastline. We are a gentle cliff-top walk away from the famous Happisburgh Lighthouse.

Food, including our famous Lighthouse Pies and fresh local seafood is served all day with breakfast from 9.30-11am and our full menu available from 12 noon. So come in and take some refreshment any time.

Park at The Lighthouse Inn, walk along the beautiful Norfolk Coast Path, then enjoy a freshly-prepared meal on your return to The Lighthouse !
